Timeless Tuesday #230 ~ Christmas In July With A Catch

This week Challenge at Flourishes is Christmas In July with a Catch, the catch is to have your card semi flat.  What a fun challenge I love starting my Christmas cards in July it makes you start feeling the season!!!  I used Flourishes Meet Me Under The Mistletoe stamp set.  This set is just so pretty, I used Prisma Watercolors to color my image, added a little stickles to the mistletoe and a few small silver dots to finish it off.  I usually have a lot of dimension to my cards so this was a bit of a challenge!

Flourishes Birthday Challenge # 4

The 4th Birthday Challenge at Flourishes is Color My World.  The challenge was to create your own background using ink.  The Beach Life stamp set from Flourishes was a perfect match for a beautiful sunset with a beautiful sky.  Using Stampin Up's inks Summer Sun, Apricot Appeal, Lavender Lace and Ballet Blue I created the summer sky at sunset.  The sun was created using an 1 inch punch and the refreshing drink is stamped and colored with copic markers.  I used sponges and blended the inks.  The end results are just beautiful!!  I can picture a beautiful summer evening as the sun is setting!!  Hope you all are having a wonderful day.  Remember to check in on Flourishes as the Birthday Celebrations continue.

Flourishes 6th Birthday ~ Black and White Challenge

Well my favorite website Flourishes is about to celebrate their 6th Birthday and is kicking off the celebration with the first of several challenges.  The first one is to use black and white on your creation.  I had to think outside of the box for this one, as I love to use color!!  I used the Summer Blossom stamp set from Flourishes for this card. Knowing I had to have a little bit of color I used the spotlight technique for a touch of color!  Make sure to checkout Flourishes website for all the exciting celebration activities!

MDSM 21 Challenge

Today's challenge at MDS is to use the sketch above and group photo boxes together.  I love to use sketches they are so much fun and designing is almost done for you!  I wanted to use this beautiful picture of my granddaughter, Alyssa.  I had seen a layout on Pinterest using this stamp set and it was just beautiful.  I thought I would like to use some of the ideas for my page. Not sure who to give credit for the inspiration, as I cannot find the post.  Hope you all have a wonderful and safe 4th of July!!!
